#Lockdown2 the sequel no one wanted to see!
Back in the Spring Lockdown for Regather resulted in a tsunami of changes to the way we work. Bye bye events, hello big expansion of our fruit and veg box scheme. We doubled our customers in a week and there was mild panic behind the scenes as we scrambled to keep up; to keep everyone supplied with fresh produce but also milk, eggs and lots of lots of handwash!
This time around we enter this Lockdown sadly, but also with the knowledge that we are a lot better prepared, our team is significantly bigger and more experienced, and increasing numbers feels like something we can better take in our stride.
What we are particularly aware of this time, is the economic impact that Lockdown has on all the other amazing Sheffield businesses and how much more important our relationships with our local suppliers has become. While all the cafes and pubs will be closing again – we are still here, still offering tea, coffee, bagels, bread, soap, wine, beer and much more, to all of our amazing customers.
Choosing to buy local either through us, or direct from retailers online, will massively impact the Sheffield that comes out of this the other side. It could make the difference between retaining the independent store, cafe and pub or not.
We now work with a significantly broader range of local suppliers and offer their products as additions in our deliveries. We’ve also launched a new Hamper offer filled with Sheffield made goodies, with UK wide delivery available.
So make sure you spread the love this Lockdown and if you can, spend some pennies with local makers, independent stores and Sheffield folk.
