Club Garden Growers is Regather’s community gardening project, which aims to transform the green spaces surrounding Regather in Sharrow into an attractive and wildlife-friendly green space for the public to enjoy.
Last year we collaborated with children and families from Highfield Adventure Playground to clear the garden space and plant a variety of native tree and plant species. We also built raised beds and new compost heaps, with help from Percy Street CIC.
Public sessions take place on a regular basis throughout the growing season, and are free for all to attend. Activities may include sowing seeds, planting bulbs, weeding or digging.
If you have any questions about Club Garden Growers or would like to add your name to the volunteer mailing list, please contact Alice (alice.farmery@regather.net).
The Club Garden Growers sessions are now paused until spring 2024.
We would like to give our thanks to the SYPCC’s Community Grants Scheme fund, which allowed us to deliver last year’s gardening sessions and will also support the sessions in 2024.
